We're developers, and some tasks come up again and again in our work — formatting a blob of JSON, hashing a string, compressing an image, encoding a URL. Over time we got into the habit of building small tools to help ourselves.
One day we realized: if we kept needing these tools, other developers probably did too. The ones we found online were often slow, stuffed with ads, or quietly sending data to a server — none of it felt like something we'd actually want to use.
So we decided to share the tools we'd been building for ourselves — and Tool Vault was born: a growing collection of fast, free utilities that run entirely in your browser. No signup, no uploads, no tracking.
Tool Vault was founded by CheBit, a full-stack developer with 10 years of experience shipping web applications and developer tools.
