UUID Generator FAQ

What is a UUID?

A Universally Unique Identifier is a 128-bit number used to uniquely identify records, sessions, or resources without a central authority.

Are the UUIDs truly unique?

This tool generates version 4 UUIDs from random numbers. The chance of a collision is so astronomically small that they're considered practically unique.

Can I generate several at once?

Yes. Set the count to produce a batch of UUIDs in one go, then copy them all together.

Are the IDs generated on your server?

No. IDs are generated locally in your browser, so nothing is requested from or sent to a server.
